Sony was smart and maniacal when showcasing their new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer. The announcement is currently one of the most disliked videos on youtube. So when they brought it out at the E3 Press Conference they didn’t even tell us what it was until the very end. I had to see it with my own eyes.

The fact I didn’t know what I was looking at made me love what I was seeing. You just have to watch the trailer to beleive it, since it looks almost nothing like earlier Call of Duty games in the series. The trailer begins with arial combat in a stunning star-fighter complete with dogfights and huge set pieces. The gameplay finally transitions into first-person spacewalking and shooting.  All those dislikes were wrong. Dead wrong. While people everywhere sang the praises of Battlefield 1 and it’s reveal trailer, the people behind Call of Duty got to work. I’m even eating my own words.

We already knew Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare would be different, but the new trailer suggests there could be a lot more space action and even more polished gameplay than we’re used to. Infinity Ward has promised a plot that fits to the series as players will defend one of “Earth’s last remaining warships” against some kind of  insurgency

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be out November 4th this year.
