Sony’s conference at E3 has come to a close. From start to finish it was a sight to be seen and it all started with an orchestral performance leading up to the publisher’s first trailer: the reveal of the new God of War.  Norse mythology is the backdrop, with a desolate ice forrest, a new beard, and a brutal axe replacing the Greek mythology of the previous games.

The gameplay trailer follows a character which we’re all going to presume is Kratos as he takes his son on a hunt through the woods after a deer. Things happen, trouble issues, and we get the start to a brand new adventure.

With no news as to when we’re going to see a release as of yet, it looks like Sony came in swinging and left all of us speechless from the first trailer alone. For more on Sony’s new God of War and more news on E3 2016, stay tuned.
