Evolve is an upcoming sci-fi themed, co-operative first person shooter being developed by Turtle Rock Studios. First revealed by name in December 2012 in the bankruptcy filing of former publisher THQ, it will be published by 2K Games and is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in the third quarter of 2014.

With the current next-gen offerings, there are very few games that pop out and excite. Sure there’s Titanfall coming soon and Destiny in the fall….but those games are the equivalent of eating at a 5 star restaurant.

You know it’s going to be good and you’re going to leave with an empty wallet (mostly due to micro-transactions and downloadable content). But when I heard the original creators of the first Left for Dead are working on a 5 person multiplayer experience where 4 players will play as the hunters while one is this huge Goliath trying to take them down….I got excited.
