After what can only be described as a confusing few months, the future home of science fiction drama series “Snowpiercer” seems on the right tracks. There was much back and forth for awhile about what cable network would actually show the series- originally TNT, then TBS, and now back at TNT- on top of some pretty dicey pilot-writer-director-reshoot situations. Thankfully, things seem full steam ahead for the show based on Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 film.
TNT has revealed a sneak-peek teaser clip from its post-apocalyptic, sci-fi thriller “Snowpiercer” at New York Comic Con in homage to its graphic novel routes. TNT presented a panel featuring Oscar® winner Jennifer Connelly, Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs, Emmy® nominee Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Tony Award® winner and Grammy® nominee Lena Hall, Sheila Vand, Steven Ogg and executive producer (and showrunner) Graeme Manson.
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.

The series will premiere in Spring 2020 on TNT.
