You guys know the difference between a fanfilm and a reboot, right? Because it seems like a lot of the ‘big sites’ are running this epic fan-film as the official Power Rangers reboot, which it’s not.

The official reboot film will be written by Ashley E. Miller and his writing partner Zack Stentz (Thor, X-Men First Class), and will not be out for sometime yet.  THIS amazing fan video is dark, gritty and stars Katee Sackhoff, so you know I loved it.  Again a warning, this is NSFW:

If you read the description of this video, it contains what appears to be a quote from the video’s director:

As quoted of the director Joseph Kahn:

Deboot of the Power Rangers. My take on the FAN FILM. Not a pilot, not a series, not for profit, strictly for exhibition. This is a bootleg experiment not affiliated or endorsed by Saban Entertainment or Lionsgate nor is it selling any product. I claim no rights to any of the characters (don’t send me any money, not kickstarted, this film is free). This is the NSFW version. An alternate safe version is on youtube.
