We reported back in early September the powers that be behind the popular video game series-turned movie series was going to have one last outing with Milla Jovovich.

Over on her facebook page, she posted about the impending birth of her second child with husband Paul S. Anderson (writer/director of the Resident Evil film franchise) and dropped the confirmation we’d been waiting for about the film.  You can see her post here. But the main thing we want you guys to see is this:

I’m really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming Resident Evil- The Final Chapter in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice’s new ‘easy mama access’ costume;)) so I don’t want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to ‘action hero’ mode!

This quote tells us when shooting is starting, meaning they have most of their ducks in a row for production.  So, hopefully, we’ll be hearing more details as it gets closer to August.  As it stands right now, reportedly this final installment is looking at a September 2016 release date.  March 22nd 2016 will actually be the 20th anniversary of the first Resident Evil game being released.
