A few weeks ago Roberto Orci announced he was lobbying to helm the director’s chair for Star Trek 3. According to Deadline he has entered negotiations with Skydance Productions and Paramount to become the new director.
Orci wrote both “Star Trek” films and the tie-in video game. Orci is joined by screenwriters Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, who will help create the third installment.
