I dunno about you guys, but I usually don’t jump on the “So and So has been cast” train unless it’s been confirmed by the company making the film, the director, the actor himself, or at least three reputable outlets.

One of our favorite media sites CinemaBlend ran a story yesterday that reported the role of Marvel Avengers villain Thanos has been cast, and that Kevin Feige was the source of this news.  “There is an actor. I’m not sure we want to announce it yet,” says Feige, but that to me reads more as hype than factual info.  I guess as the other nerd-geek-centric outlets are reporting, we’ll just have to wait and see who crashes the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

It’ll be difficult for them to EVER surpass last year’s, however.  And for a personal moment, last year while leaving the pressrooms as SDCC, I was in one of the service elevators with four big security guys and WHAT I THOUGHT was a really good Loki cosplayer with an accent and lovely hair.  Boy did I feel like an idiot when I heard what happened in Hall H:
