Although he created and is currently starring in the comedy space show The Orville, this isn’t Seth McFarlane’s first role in space. A Star Trek fan film made by McFarlane and his friends as a teenager has surfaced onto the internet.

In this film McFarlane takes on the role of Captain James T. Kirk.

The uploader of this video estimates McFarlane to be around 14 or 15 during its production, and with his current age, means it would’ve been made around 1987 or 1988. He has spoofed Star Trek multiple times on Family Guy as well as the character of Kirk in a pilot episode titled Life of Larry (the project that gave way to Family Guy).

Also, I am convinced after this video that McFarlane came out of the womb with the same voice that we’ve all known.
