(Thanks to Gwen for the news!)

If you grew up dreaming about flying away to neverland with a bit of fairy dust to carry you away, do we have news for you! Disney will be adding another movie to it’s recent live-action movie releases, and it looks like everyone’s favorite pixie is set to fly into your local theater.

Reese Witherspoon has been cast in the titular role as well as produce the Disney film, The Hollywood Reporter is saying. Previously, Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect 2) had been attached to the movie as early as 2010. With the recasting of Peter Pan’s pint sized side-kick, we hope to have a release date soon.

The film does not have a named director yet, but the script is currently being written by Victoria Strouse who is also the screenwriter for much anticipated Finding Dory. Much like recent Disney release Maleficent, Tink will focus on the character’s backstory before she entered the classic-Disney universe. We will keep you up to date as news of the film breaks. Clap your hands if you believe in Fairies!
