(Editor’s Note:  This is a piece that Gwen “Gwendles” Reza and I have pieced together for your informational enjoyment.)

Aggressors, we know there are quite a few of you that grew up with Jem and Holograms. You were mesmerized, enraptured by the story and the characters and the music as a kid, right? So many little girls and boys wanted to be Jem or one of the Holograms. I know I wanted all the candyfloss hair colors, and now that we’re all mostly adults (Mostly!) we can do just that.  Unfortunately, the Jem and the Holograms feature film that came out in October of 2015 fell far short of the mark in many fan’s opinions. But, do not lose hope!

Remember that fantastic youtube video “Jem Reacts” that came out shortly after the film premiered? The same group of talented ladies that produced the viral video are kickstarting an entire 2-part fan film complete with music videos. They’re going by “CREATURE” for now, and you should check out their youtube channel.

Anyway, their project will be based directly on the source material of the original 1985 television series and it will be picking up exactly where the series ended. It will feature music, costuming and characters lovingly recreated from the original in a live-action setting:

Here is their campaign video:

The campaign JUST launched today, within the last hour or so and will continue for 29 days.  Initial goal for the project is $12,000. They will use the funds to make the best possible video they can, and if they meet their stretch goal of $50,000 the backers and the world will be receiving a 30 minute film with 2 parts, music videos and more!  You can check it out here.
