We all know Magic Mountain, where Link rode the Vapor in reverse? Well they are slated to debut Twisted Colossus TOMORROW May 23, 2015. Six Flag Magic Mountain is located in Valencia, California and was home to the original Colossus which opened in June of 1978 and has been seen on may TV shows and movies including National Lampoon’s Vacation. After 36 years in operation the ride has been re-vamped and will open tomorrow as “Twisted Colossus.” The new version is a hybrid of wood and steel that stands 125ft high and hits a maximum speed of 57 mph. Twisted Colossus has many new elements including:

Barrel Roll inversion, near vertical drop, “High Five” element, a 360 degree Zero G roll and 18 airtime hills! The dueling track element was kept in place and the coaster spans 4,990 feet of track. The farewell of the original version was held on on August 17th of 2014 where a select group of riders could ride for 36 hours straight. Only 6 are said to have completed the feat.
