EW released the following images for 20th Century Fox X-Men: Apocalypse. The images are concept art showing off Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. This is what Bryan Singer, director of the project, had to say.

“One of Apocalypse’s many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones, Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…. Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.”

X-Men Apocalypse stars returning cast members Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult. New comers include Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee and Oscar Isaac.

This is said to be the conclusion of a trilogy started with X-Men: First Class. Here is hoping that means that it will also be the return of the franchise back to Marvel. X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.
