photo-36More than halfway done with the 25 Days of Christmas Movies. Tonight I’m enjoying some hot cocoa and Tim Burton’s 1990 movie, Edward Scissorhands.  It’s another one of those movies set during the Christmas holiday season but the main focus isn’t the holiday itself. Pretty much the entire story is a grandmother explaining to her granddaughter why it always snows at Christmas. we get her lingered memories set across a sun drenched 1950s California uniformed neighborhood.  I was fascinated with this movie when it came out . Not only is an incredibly romantic and bitter sweet love story it’s also a cautionary tale that people will abuse and take advantage of those different than themselves if given the opportunity- and those different will do nearly anything for acceptance.
