Independent Online and MTV News are reporting that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” started filming on Monday, February 10th, in Johannesburg. The plan is to continue filming in the region for two weeks and then move on to northern Italy and South Korea.

We are excited to host Marvel,” said Johannesburg Mayor Parks Tausaid. “It strengthens Johannesburg’s position as a worldwide film production center with first class facilities and production support. It also has a very positive impact for the region and is a great opportunity for the city to be showcased to a world wide audience.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to hit theaters on May 1st, 2015.

Also Marvel had recently announced that Jaimie Alexander would reprise her role as Sif from the Thor series in an upcoming episode of the “Agents of SHIELD” TV series. And we have the first photo of the actress said episode. Check it out:

Lady Sif apparently enters the show on a hunting mission — sent by Odin — to find her arch-enemy Lorelei and bring her back to Asgard. This to me causes a pretty intense paradox being that Odin….[SPOILERS]…..is actually Loki. So why would Loki send Sif to earth. Is this part of a bigger plan? Does it fit into the Thor or Marvel universe outside of the television series? Was the whole situation regarding Thor and Loki resolved off-screen?

It raises a lot of questions…and I want some answers.

The episode, called “Yes Man,” is set to air on March 11th at 8pm on ABC.

We have a lot to look forward to thanks to Marvel in the upcoming years. Looking ahead to Captain American and Guardians of the Galaxy (which they may have ALREADY green lit a sequel for).

Keep an eye out for more news, Stay Tuned.
