IT HAS BEEN DONE. Someone finally made it to level 30 in Destiny after only 107 hours of game play. His name? Mark Edward Neace Jr. known as BGTV N3AC3Y. His occupation? I have no idea but I want to shake his hand.
HOLY COW, you do not want to run into him in the Crucible.
As players of Destiny quickly found out, Bungie had created a level 20 soft cap that once reached, make Light points far more valuable than XP. The more rare and special gear you equip, the higher your Light level will be.
Neace said that a quarter of his time was spent in the Crucible mode but did not do anything out of the ordinary such as all-nighters nor did he receive the game early in order to obtain his high-ranked Guardian. Therefore..YOU TOO, CAN REACH LEVEL 30.
I am sure there will be others to follow, if not already.
Hopefully with the newly launched “Queen’s Wrath” event, it will be less gear grinding and more playtime for those wishing to get to the game’s highest level.
A word of advice, because for every bounty you complete, you get a “ticket” to complete a special mission for the Queen. It would seem that if you do the same mission twice, it drops the same legendary gear. Therefore, go out to orbit to choose the Queen’s mission again and hopefully start a new one.
