Square Enix and gumi Inc. have announced a full-length Final Fantasy game that will be available on mobile platforms. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will be free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and will fuse features of all FINAL FANTASY titles, including captivating story, and strategic turn-based gameplay with modern streamlined battle mechanics and intuitive touch controls. The game has already found an impressive player base in Japan, with more 6.5 million player currently enjoying the game.
This new mobile version will feature new items and daily quests, game balance refinements based on the Japanese version, high-definition graphic support for tablet devices, achievements and leaderboards and Facebook login integration.
There will be two types of bundles for purchase: “Early Bird Bundle” (a one-time purchase at $3.99) will be available for beginners who wish to grow their characters at a faster pace, and other bundles available regularly for purchase for players to obtain characters and items quicker.
Brave Exvius‘ story is as follows –
“Adventurers begin their quest for a highly-coveted crystal, shortly meeting two knights from Grandshelt, and a young girl. With special appearances by classic FINAL FANTASY characters like Cecil, Vivi and Terra, players adventure through fields and dungeons discovering items, collecting gil, uncovering hidden paths, and unlocking high-quality CG-animated summons.”
Players will be able to download the game through the App Store and Google Play. You should also check out the Final Fantasy Portal App to keep up to date with all things FF, including exclusive promotional trailers and developer commentary. By logging-in with their Square Enix account, players can accumulate points that can be exchanged for various items.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has been developed as a collaboration between SQUARE ENIX® and gumi Inc. (developer of the hit title Brave Frontier). The game will launch in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese (traditional), and Korean.
