We can’t say we think this new HBO Max series is a good idea, mostly because 2015’s “Vacation” is one of our WORST-reviewed films ever. That said, we understand that the majority of you really enjoyed it, and theoretically want more.

HBO Max apparently has a spinoff tv series all about Rusty Griswold, with “Christmas Vacation” Russ actor Johnny Galecki (“The Big Bang Theory“) in on the very early stages of development.

According to Entertainment Weekly, single-camera show “The Griswolds” will explore the family’s daily lives in the suburbs of modern-day Chicago. “Community,” “The Middle” writer-producer Tim Hobert will write the script and executive produce alongside Galecki and Holly Brown.

The outlet does make it very clear that so far, no cast has been officially confirmed for this project.
