Twentieth Century Fox has just released a new trailer and poster for Hitman: Agent 47. And I have to say, I am still not sold.

I want a James Bond style film for Agent 47. Instead they insist on doing this thing that they do with famous characters that are super deep and broody they are making the story more relatable by introducing characters no one knows and having him shape them. I am all for character development but Agent 47 is a cold killing machine. Simple as that. MAKE HIM THAT! You can make him badass and a weapon. He does not need to be saving anyone just have him as a cold character who wants to do the job he is given. So with that not yet sold because I have seen stories like this and they tend to fail.

The film is directed by Aleksander Bach, from a screenplay by Michael Finch, Kyle Ward, and Skip Woods. The film stars Rupert Friend, Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware, Angelababy and Thomas Kretschmann.  Check out the second trailer:

Hitman: Agent 47 is based on the video game series created by IO Interactive. Agent 47 is an assassin who was engineered to be a killing machine with a barcode on the back of his neck.  The film is set to open in theaters Aug. 21st, 2015.
