Edible Dragon Balls have been trending all over the internet lately, but none of them quite satisfied our needs quite like this one. Thanks to our friends over at Nerd Noms, we now have an easy and delicious Dragon Ball recipe that you can make in the comfort of your own home. All you need are a few simple ingredientsĀ for this delectable Jell-O Dragon Balls recipe!

Perfect for a Dragon Ball Z themed party, a geeky get-together, or just to keep all seven for yourself — after all, who wouldn’t, right? We hear rumors that if you eat all seven your wish will be granted. Or you’ll just get fat.

These Dragon Balls are made of Jell-O, but they won’t crumble apart like the Jell-O you’re probably used to. I’ve tried making hard Jell-O by using things like the Jell-O Jiggler recipe on the back of the box, or using various recipes on the internet, but this recipe is by far the best I’ve found, giving it the perfect jiggly texture without being too hard and without crumbling apart. It’s perfect!

INGREDIENTS

  • 7 ice spheres
  • 10 cherries
  • 3 small boxes of orange Jell-O (tip: if you don’t like orange flavor, try lemon Jell-O and drop in some red food coloring)
  • 4 Knox unflavored gelatin envelopes
  • 4 cups boiling water
