tonight’s midnight movie is WesAnderson’s 1996 breakout debut Bottle Rocket. this movie is in my top five of all time favorite anything/anytime movies. I love these characters. I think what makes it such a cult classic is that in some way we’ve all experienced a Dignan and Anthony friendship. we also may have known a few Bobs. it’s an fantastic story of three friends looking for something more outside their small rural town. James Caan and the uber sexy FutureMan,AndrewWilson round out a fun cast. there was a time upon seeing this movie that I had my own little bottle rocket tour from Dallas to Fort Worth and to Hillsboro. I’ve attended the “save the bottle rocket motel party” and adore the kids who keep championing to. keep the legacy open.
