Christmas is over, but my Midnight Movie posts live on! Now that my new kitten Oa is home, (Yes I’ll be bragging about him for a while) I felt it highly appropriate to bust out Green Lantern: First Flight. This is probably in my top five of favorite animated hero movies. The voice acting is superb- Christopher Meloni and Michael Madsen- yes please! (the whole support cast is wonderful) The story is the classic tale of Hal Jordan’s call to arms and the animated is done perfectly. Plus Laura Montgomery directs!! She’s responsible for many other great animated movies like the 2009 WonderWoman animated movie (another perfect flick), Batman: Year One, JusticeLeagueDoom and so many more. This animated movie blows the live action movie away making it obsolete.
