We still have a ways to go before the end of Droughtlander, and fans of the hit STARZ series are getting anxious.  So much so that picture snappers are traveling to the sets in hopes of getting a glimpse of what’s in store.

Costume designer Terry Dresbach (wife of Outlander showrunner Ron D. Moore) has done some wonderful work on the series thus far, and I’m really looking forward to some notable outfits coming in season 2.  There is a red dress that Claire (Caitriona Balfe) wears on a visit to Versaille that I CANNOT WAIT to see, and in general, a change of cut and cloth for our wooly Scots.

Here is a brief album of some of the things we’re seeing from fans of Outlander:

That last dress there, the brown with floral elements, is getting a lot of heat on the internet from various historical costumer “experts”.  One thing they seem to be missing in their complaints of “fabric from the 1940s” is how much attention to detail the costume department is paying.  Each shade of silk from Claire’s dresses to Jamie’s jabots are hand dyed, and in the case of the brown dress, hand painted.  *shrugs*  Can’t please everyone.

Outlander returns to STARZ sometime in Spring of 2016.
