Scarlett Johansson has signed on to be in the Dreamwork’s Live Action film of the Anime Classic Ghost in the Shell.  The news comes to use from Variety

Margot Robbie was originally being reviewed for the role.  Once she committed to Suicide Squad she no longer was able for the role.

Variety does go on to say that the film has still not been officially greenlit. So even though she has signed up to play the role there is no confirmation the film will be made.
