While we’re still looking for further PROOF, like an official press release from Marvel/Sony on this Spider-Man story, it looks like we may know a bit about the upcoming team up film.

Latino Review is reporting Drew Goddard (Cabin In The Woods) will be writing AND directing the new Spider-Man film that will unite the Sony and Marvel ownership of the character, and introduce the hero to the MCU ahead of Civil War.  Goddard was originally slated to head up the Sinister Six film that would center around some of the big villains in the Spider-verse, but with the merger of Sony-Marvel on the Peter Parker issue, it looks like that won’t be happening anytime soon.
