First and foremost, YES Rian Johnson is still working on his “Star Wars” film project for Disney. YES Marvel boss Kevin Feige is still working on his “Star Wars” movie. NO, “Game of Thrones” heads David Benioff and Dan Weiss aren’t doing their “Star Wars” project anymore.

That said- we know who ALSO is currently developing a “Star Wars” film-  director JD Dillard (“Slight“) and writer Matt Owens (“Agents of Shield,” “Luke Cage”).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair were revealed to be working on a new film for Disney set in the Star Wars universe. At this time, no one seems to know if this project will be for actual theatrical release, or as a Disney+ film.
