Best known as Tara’s love interest Eggs in True Blood, Mehcad Brooks has been cast as Jimmy Olsen in Supergirl for CBS. Jimmy will be the same photographer we all know and love, only not for The Daily Planet.

We recently informed you guys that Glee and Whiplash alum Melissa Benoist will be playing the title role of Supergirl. Theoretically, we’ll see Jimmy Olsen in his classic role working as a photographer for the Daily Planet.
