I honestly can’t think of anything to say about this, other than THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE GREENLIGHTING NEXT SONY?  REALLY?! Ok, now that’s out of my system….

Back in the 90’s, any goth girl who wore a pentagram necklace had to deal with the annoying amount of The Craft jokes and insults thrown her way.  I’d like to hope American Horror Story helped a little bit, but I guess my opinion is in the minority.  It was announced today by The Hollywood Reporter that Sony is moving forward with a “new version” of the teen horror film.

Leigh Janiak  has been approached to write and direct the new version, co-writing the new script with Phil Graziadei.  One of The Craft‘s original producers, Doug Wick, will be returning to the new film in the same capacity. Lucy Fisher (Vice Chairman of Columbia Pictures when the first movie was made) will be co-producing.

We will let you know if/when any more information is made available about this.
