Warner Bros and DC Comics will be announcing there plans at San Diego Comic Con about a series of movies they plan to develop. The same studio that is bringing us the current Zack Snyder Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice film is also prepping to launch a full schedule of movies in an attempt to do battle with its rival Marvel Studios.
According to entertainment editor Nikki Finke,
the studio will officially schedule stand-alone movies for Shazam and Wonder Woman as well as the previously confirmed Justice League movie.
It will also unveil plans for Flash and Green Lantern film for 2017… I smell buddy cop comedy!!!!! Plus a new Superman movie, this one million cameos, for 2018. Finke also reports that DC will be following in the footsteps of Marvel by peppering the movies with cameos from other superheros for future films. The cameos are reported to include Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash, while a new Green Lantern is also being considered for an appearance.
It has also been reported that the production delay for Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice was down to the studio still negotiating contracts for other major Justice League actors… Because we need more in this 1 film… clearly… why establish these characters you know like how marvel is doing it, THEN bring them together to fight an unbeatable foe… you know logic… why bother… Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman for the movies, while Oscar-winner Ben Affleck will play Batman, and Fast and Furious actress Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman.
