Rocksteady, the developer behind the Arkham trilogy announced at Sony’s Press Conference that they are currently working on Batman: Arkham VR. There aren’t any details currently about the game but what Sony did show was Mark Hamill returning to the role of the joker and some hints as to what the tone of the story may be about.
“Rocksteady is always looking for new ways to further engross players into the worlds we create and Batman: Arkham VR is an example of how we’re taking advantage of the latest technology to do that,” said game director Sefton Hill. “The team is committed to delivering a Batman experience that stays true to the character and allows players to fully immerse themselves in the role of the World’s Greatest Detective.”
Playstation unveiled a lot about their plans for VR and having this, Battlefront, and Resident Evil as flagship VR games along with a Playstation VR price tag of only $399, I’d say they’ve pretty much guaranteed anyone with a Playstation is going to gleefully make the jump directly from Current Generation, to Virtual Reality
